Tuna Noodle Casserole

This was a favorite of mine that my mom made when I was growing up. Easy peas-y old school tuna noodle casserole! Make it tonight and go back in time with me. Comfort food at it’s finest. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna (small)
  • 1 bag egg noodles
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 tbsp butter for sauteing onion
  • 1/2 can milk
  • 1 sleeve saltines
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp seasoning of choice (I used Santa Maria)
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1 can little green peas

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325
  • Saute onion in butter until translucent
  • Cook egg noodles per instructions
  • Mix cooked egg noodles, drained noodles, drained peas, onion, soup, milk, 1 cup cheese and seasoning
  • Pour into 9×13 greased baking dish.
  • Top with 1 cup of cheese and saltines.
  • Cover with foil and cook for 20 minutes. Uncover and cook for 10 more minutes.
